Running to socialise…

When invited to a friends for dinner last minute the panic set in – when can I do my long run?? Knowing fine well that after an evening out there will be no mission getting out on Sunday I had to think fast…

The solution was to send the family on ahead whislt I took on a 11.5mi run to their house – simple – the solution that is; most definitely not the run. 11.5 mi in blistering heat and up some gruelling hills was certainly great training for the Cookstown Half in 2weeks, but it was a thirsty run.

Its just as well I can have a few cold stout this evening… 🙂
