Does anyone really know what training to do in the days leading up to a marathon??

They say it takes a month to recover from a marathon, but as I am doing three in that period I don’t have that luxury. Whilst I am injury free and feel in the best shape of my adult life to date, my last couple of runs have tested my sharpness. I feel sluggish. Some experts say this is normal during a taper, but it just doesn’t feel right and, as a result, I find myself overdoing things in the days before a marathon.

Belfast is two days away now; it isn’t even two weeks since London…so this next race will be such an unknown entity for me that I suppose I shouldn’t really worry. Nonetheless, that’s not me…I would love to hit 3:45!?

I won’t be disappointed if I don’t hit my target, but I have to admit that if I don’t break 4hrs I will be…
